I AM
KEVIN VALDEZ

Born in the Pacific Northwest, I learned to see the world through movement — through light, weather, and time.
Right through the lens is a personal movement that I simply felt compelled to share.

An Overview
After twenty years in the U.S. Navy, I’ve carried that sense of awareness across continents. From the cool 80-degree breeze rolling through Sege, Ghana, to the quiet sweetness of autumn air in Vancouver, I want you to feel what I feel when I lift the camera.
Dezination isn’t about distance — it’s about closeness.
When I photograph a city, a person, or a moment, I want you there with me.
I want you to breathe the same air, smell the same rain, and sense the same stillness that lives between seconds.
This work is a map of my travels — Uganda, Ghana, Rwanda, Canada, the U.S. — but it’s also a record of emotion. A way to remember how the world feels when you stop long enough to really see it.
My pictures are not just meant to be viewed.
They’re meant to be felt.
